Hon’ble Minister from Mauritius Visits i-Hub Gujarat
i-Hub Gujarat hosted the visit of 𝐇𝐨𝐧’𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐒𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐝 𝐌𝐮𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐝 𝐀𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐥 𝐀𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐚, 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲, 𝐒𝐌𝐄𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬, 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐚𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐮𝐬, along with a delegation, on 10th August 2026.
The delegation interacted with 𝟏𝟓+ 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐩𝐬 from sectors including HealthTech, EdTech, Cleantech, and FinTech to understand their solutions and explore opportunities for expanding their businesses in Mauritius. Discussions covered market potential, regulatory and legal requirements, avenues for market entry, and the support available for startups in Mauritius.
The delegation also visited the co-working space at i-Hub Gujarat and interacted with startups working from the facility, understanding their work and experiences.
𝐌𝐫. Chiranjiv Patel (𝐁𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫, 𝐢-𝐇𝐮𝐛 𝐆𝐮𝐣𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭) 𝐌𝐫. Jaykumar Joshi, 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐝, 𝐢-𝐇𝐮𝐛 𝐆𝐮𝐣𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭, and 𝐃𝐫. 𝐓𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐞𝐡𝐭𝐚 (𝐎𝐒𝐃, 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞) presented an overview of i-Hub Gujarat’s initiatives and support ecosystem for startups, covering incubation, mentorship, acceleration, private fundraising facilitation and cross-border engagements. The discussion also explored opportunities for innovators to connect with international markets and expand their presence beyond India.
The visit opened opportunities for further engagement between startups and ecosystem stakeholders from Mauritius, with a focus on market access, business expansion and cross-border collaboration.
