i-Hub Gujarat Hosts Three-Day Cyber Security Innovation Showcase
“𝐂𝐲𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐃𝐞𝐦𝐨 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔” commenced on 𝟐𝟕𝐭𝐡 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 at 𝐢-𝐇𝐮𝐛 𝐆𝐮𝐣𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭, bringing together startups, defence experts, government agencies, and cybersecurity professionals. Organized by 𝐢-𝐇𝐮𝐛 𝐆𝐮𝐣𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭 in collaboration with 𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐃 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐫𝐦𝐲, Space Applications Centre, ISRO, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐡𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐝 𝐂𝐲𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, the three-day program aims to connect startups with real-world cybersecurity and defence challenges while creating opportunities for collaboration and technology development.
The inaugural session began with keynote addresses by 𝐌𝐫. 𝐇𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐦𝐚𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚, 𝐂𝐄𝐎, 𝐢-𝐇𝐮𝐛 𝐆𝐮𝐣𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭, 𝐂𝐨𝐥. 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐘𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐯, Former Director, Research & Capability Development Wing (RACD), and 𝐋𝐭. 𝐂𝐨𝐥. 𝐑𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐣 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐡𝐦𝐮𝐤𝐡, Project & Outreach Officer, RACD.
Mr. Hiranmay Mahanta spoke about i-Hub Gujarat's initiatives in the DeepTech and Cyber Security domains, the evolving technology landscape, and opportunities for startups. Col. Manish Yadav and Lt. Col. Raviraj Deshmukh shared insights into the vision of the Research & Capability Development (RACD) Wing and its focus on enabling defence and space technology innovations through startup participation.
The session also featured a presentation by Mr. Mayank Lakdawala from Team i-Hub Gujarat, providing an overview of i-Hub Gujarat's support for startups through incubation, grant facilitation, funding assistance, acceleration programmes, Demo Days, and other initiatives across their Mind-to-Market journey.
An online session on the 𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐃 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐦 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 was conducted by Col (Dr) Rajesh Kapoor, Director, RACD, and 𝐋𝐭. 𝐂𝐨𝐥. 𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐑𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐛𝐡, Subject Matter Expert in Military Cyber Operations. The speakers presented defence cybersecurity problem statements covering areas such as Autonomous Cyber Operations, Military IoT Security, Cyber Fusion, and Network Forensics, encouraging startup-led solutions for national security.
