SGCCI Startup Demo Day 2026 Ignites Entrepreneurial Journeys on World Entrepreneurship Day
On the occasion of 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐃𝐚𝐲, The The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI), through its Start Up & Innovation Committee, organized “𝐒𝐆𝐂𝐂𝐈 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐩 𝐃𝐞𝐦𝐨 𝐃𝐚𝐲”under the theme “𝐈𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐩 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲” on 𝟐𝟏 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐚𝐭 𝐒𝐀𝐍𝐇𝐀𝐓𝐈, 𝐒𝐈𝐄𝐂𝐂 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬, 𝐒𝐚𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐚, 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐭.
The Demo Day was supported by i-Hub, Gujarat, with the objective of providing a platform for startups, innovators, entrepreneurs, industry representatives and mentors to connect, collaborate and explore opportunities for growth.
The program was graced by the presence of Shri Ashok Jirawala, President, SGCCI; Shri Atuul Patel, Treasurer, SGCCI; Mr. Naman Sarawagi, Chairman, Startup & Innovation Committee, SGCCI; Shri Punit Gajera, Group Chairman, Startup & Innovation Committee, SGCCI; Mr. Amit Shah, Co-Chairman, Startup & Innovation Committee, SGCCI; and Dr. Darshan J. Mehta (Ph.D), Officer on OSD, i-Hub Gujarat, Surat Regional Center.
The event provided an effective platform for startups and innovators to showcase their innovative ideas, products, technologies and business models before industry leaders, mentors and other stakeholders.
The Startup Pitching Session was one of the major highlights of the program, wherein participating startups presented their ventures and received valuable industry-oriented feedback and guidance.
During the program, Dr. Darshan J. Mehta (Ph.D), 𝐎𝐒𝐃, 𝐢-𝐇𝐮𝐛 𝐆𝐮𝐣𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭, 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫, addressed the gathering and provided detailed information about the Srujan Seed Fund of the Government of Gujarat. He explained the relevance of seed funding for early-stage startups and highlighted the opportunities available to startups and innovators through the Government of Gujarat’s startup-support ecosystem. The information was shared with the participating industry representatives, mentors, attendees and innovators, helping them understand the available government support and funding mechanisms for developing and scaling innovative ventures.
Overall, the SGCCI Startup Demo Day served as a valuable platform for promoting entrepreneurship and innovation on the occasion of World Entrepreneurship Day.
